Events: Film Premier - An
Ode to Stillwater: The John Runk Films Soundtrack
by treVeld * Press Release * It's Here! The
documentary film that features our music - An Ode to Stillwater: The John
Runk Films will premier Sunday August 29th, 7 pm at the Water
Street Inn in Stillwater MN! treVeld will open the show with a
performance of our music, followed by a talk by the film's creator Paul
Creager and Brent
Peterson of the Washington County Historical Society (WCHS),
completing the event will be the debuting of the film. About the film . . . This film was
produced by Paul Creager (local film maker, journalist, teacher and musician)
for the Washington County Historical Society in Stillwater MN. Paul’s
work is the honoring of an unfinished 8mm film project that was started
by the legendary John Runk, which Paul was commissioned to
complete, guided by the spirit of Runk's previous works. The film starts
out with an introduction to Runk and his historical photographic endeavors,
then debuts the 8mm films he shot of everyday life in Stillwater from the
1940's through the 1960's. Many tunes from our Bohemian Flats CD accompany
the film’s narration, presenting our music prominently and exclusively. There’s a chance we will appear this week (8/23) on TPT’s
Almanac as part of the film’s
promotional happenings. We’re also looking into the possibility of performing
and showing the film at other Twin Cities venues in the near future. Stay

State Fair It’s time again
for The Great Minnesota Get-Together! MPR’s Radio Heartland Producer Mike
Pengra has invited treVeld to perform on the MPR fair booth stage on Tuesday
8/31, from 11 am to 1 pm. We’re honored to have MPR Host Steve
Staruch join us in the MC role! Take a break from the many other wonderful
fair offerings and world famous fun foods to join us for a soulfully
nutritious and non-fattening musical lunch! ~ ~ ~ Silverwood
Concert Series We’re really
excited to be doing an outdoor concert at Silverwood Park on Sunday
September 12, 7 to 9 pm.
Weather permitting, we’ll be outside in the beautiful amphitheater, otherwise
we’ll be in the beautiful Great Hall! Pack a picnic dinner and join us for
the fun. ~ ~ ~ Erte Restaurant Erte continues to be our home base for
regular weekend performances throughout the coming season, for which we are
deeply grateful! Stop by for some good food, drink and treVeld vibes. Recent
Performances: The General Federated Women’s Club of Delano presents the Music
in the Park series during the summer months, which we were honored to
perform for at the end of July. As we’ve experienced performing at the Three Crows, the people of
Delano welcomed us with appreciation and many sweet praises, this time including
a standing ovation! ~ ~ ~ We debuted at the
Cannon River Winery this month,
where we were welcomed by a good turnout of gracious and appreciative folks!
We’re looking forward to returning on October 23rd, when
the weather will hopefully be a bit cooler! |
